Scallops in Cream Sauce

Ingredients

  • 500g scallop meat
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 2 thinly sliced green onions
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • ¼ cup dry white wine
  • 2 tsp. corn starch
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup finely shredded Swiss cheese

Instructions

  1. If scallops are large, cut in half.
  2. Melt butter in 10-inch skillet on medium-high.
  3. Cook onion in butter until tender.
  4. Stir in scallops and sauté 3 or 4 minutes until scallops are white, stirring frequently.
  5. Mix wine and cornstarch.
  6. Stir into scallop mix.
  7. Boil and stir for 1 minute.
  8. Reduce heat to medium.
  9. Stir in whipping cream.
  10. Heat 1-2 minutes or until hot.
  11. Remove from heat.
  12. Stir in cheese until melted.
