Pipies Marineres


  • 1kg pipies, cleaned
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 stick of celery, sliced
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped
  • 60ml water or white wine
  • Pepper
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 1 tbsp. parsley, chopped


  1. Place pipies, onion, celery, garlic and water (or white wine) in a large saucepan.
  2. Cook over medium heat until pipies have opened.
  3. Stir frequently to ensure pipies cook evenly. Discard any that have not opened.
  4. Add pepper to taste. Stir in butter and parsley just before serving.

Serves 3 to 4.
