Smothered Oysters


  • 600ml oysters
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • ½ tsp. white pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • Few grains cayenne pepper


  1. Put butter in a covered saucepan with salt, pepper and cayenne pepper.
  2. When hot, add oysters.
  3. Cover closely, and shake the pan to keep oysters from sticking.
  4. Cook 2-3 minutes, or until plump

Serve on toasted crackers.
